Iako se IQOS cigarete razlikuju od e-cigareta i tradicionalnih cigareta, pa zbog toga isporučuju manje količine toksina, moramo naglasiti da IQOS cigarete isporučuju enormno veće količine nekih drugih toksičnih supstanci koje su podjednako štetne po zdravlje (vidi dole u tekstu: akrolein, propilen-glikol, acetol, glicerol).
